Who we are
Gaskin Development Herts Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company no. 07112890, at 26 Orchard Road, Tewin, Welwyn, Hertfordshire, AL6 0HW.
For anything relating to your personal data, contact us at info@gaskindevelopment.com.
What we collect
When you complete the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, company name, and whatever you write in the message field.
If you contact us by email, phone or LinkedIn instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that exchange.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser details, for security and to keep the site running.
We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect personal data from third-party sources.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us about our services and we need your details to reply.
- To deliver work you have engaged us for. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
- To keep the site secure. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in preventing abuse and diagnosing faults.
We do not send marketing emails and we do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.
Data we handle on behalf of clients
Our consultancy work involves finance and ERP systems that usually contain personal data — employee, customer and supplier records, for example. When we work in your systems we act as a processor on your instructions, not as a controller. That processing is governed by the agreement between us, including a data processing agreement where one applies, rather than by this notice.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc. — hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
- Microsoft — our business email, through Microsoft 365.
We may also disclose personal data to our accountants or professional advisers, or where we are required to by law.
Transfers outside the UK
Netlify is based in the United States, so personal data submitted through this site — including contact form submissions and the IP addresses in server logs — is processed there. Netlify participates in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing agreement additionally incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Microsoft may likewise process data outside the UK under equivalent safeguards.
These are the transfer mechanisms recognised under UK data protection law. If you would prefer not to use the contact form for this reason, email us directly instead.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records — for the duration of the engagement and six years afterwards, to meet accounting and limitation-period requirements.
- Server logs — held by our hosting provider for fewer than 30 days. We do not extract or retain them separately.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Because of that, there is no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, email info@gaskindevelopment.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top.
